Beginning Monday, January 11th, at 8:00 a.m., the McPherson Public Library will hold its annual Great Magazine Giveaway.  However this year, the library has taken the popular event online, allowing patrons to browse the available titles from their home computer, and make their requests by email, free of charge. A list of available titles and the email link can be found at macpl.org/giveaway.  From here, patrons can make their selection of a maximum of eight titles, and email their choices to the library. Once a reply is received that the request was successful, patrons have five days to pick up their magazines.  The list will be updated regularly to reflect available titles.

This year the library is partnering with the McPherson College Library, and some of the titles in the giveaway are from Miller library.  Included in this year’s giveaway are back issues of children, teen, parenting, and adult collection magazines.

Requests for magazines will only be accepted by email after Monday, January 11th at 8:00 a.m. and will continue throughout the week while supplies last.

“Giving away the magazines allows us a way to get them into hands of people who are interested in re-reading or re-purposing them. It’s a win for all of us.” stated Jennie Hall, Head of Adult Services.
