RBDigital Audiobooks Moving to cloudLibrary
Many patrons of the McPherson Public Library have enjoyed the convenience of downloading audiobooks with the RBDigital app. But, due to recent changes with the RBDigital Media Company, these titles will soon no longer be available, and the app and website will be discontinued. However, an agreement has been made between the State Library of Kansas and the cloudLibrary platform, and all licensed audiobooks that could be moved will be transferred to cloudLibrary on December 2, 2020.
Like RBDigital, patrons will still need a current Kansas Library ecard to borrow materials from cloudLibrary. It’s free to get a card and there are no separate registrations to access the collection. Step by step instructions for downloading and using the cloudLibrary platform can be found through the library website under the Digital Downloads page, macpl.org/digital-downloads. To request or update your Kansas Library ecard, please visit the library.
The cloudLibrary platform is user-friendly and is similar to RBDigital, giving users the ability to place holds, search genres, set sleep timers, and receive reading recommendations.
