With our Interlibrary Loan service, you have timely access to some 4,000,000 books, audiobooks, compact discs, and DVD’s in over 600 Kansas public, academic, and school libraries. We also can search for items nationwide.
All you need is your McPherson Public Library card.
The Basics
- You may place requests for materials found in the Kansas Library Catalog either at the McPherson Public Library or online from your home or office.
- We will notify you when your materials are ready to pick up (typically within a week to ten days of submitting your request), or if there are any problems.
- Before submitting your request, please check our catalog to determine if we own it.
- All of your items are due back at this library by the date listed on the item.
- You are allowed up to twenty requests (including titles for which we are searching and titles you already have checked out) on the system at any time.
How to do it

Open the Kansas Library Catalog in a browser — make sure you see the McPherson Public Library logo in the upper left corner.
Enter the your search words in the search box, found on the upper middle part of the screen.
When the screen populates with matches, you may click on the filter button to narrow your search (by format, series, language, etc.)
Click on the image of the item you want and then click Request this Item.
Complete all of the required information. Please leave the “need by” date unchanged.
Click on the Submit button in the lower left hand corner.
