Who can use it?
Patrons who reside within the city limits of McPherson may request the Book Express service if they are unable to visit the library due to physical, medical, or driving limitations — either temporary or permanent in nature.
How do I sign up?
First, fill out an enrollment form. You also may contact the library and we will send one to you, or a friend or relative can pick one up at the library and take it to you.
You also need a McPherson Public Library card. If you do not have a card, a library staff member will assist you with this process during the initial visit.
How does it work?
After determining that you are eligible for the service, library staff will arrange an initial visit with you to discuss your reading, viewing, and listening interests. Based on this conversation, we will select materials for you and set up a delivery schedule.
Deliveries are made on three week cycles. If you need more than 21 days, you may renew your materials up to two times. Book Express patrons are not charged fines but are responsible for lost or damaged items.
