Reading

This summer we are keeping up our tradition of reading and early literacy activities for our babies and toddlers, and we are continuing to offer this as an online option.  All of the activities are designed to support the 6 by 6: Ready to Read program, a statewide early childhood literacy initiative. The activities are designed to emphasize the six skills that parents and caregivers can help children develop before they learn to read at about the age six.

Point Scale:  1 Day=1 Point  / 1 Review=1 Point  /  Activities=1, 5 and 10 points
Program Completion=100 Points (but you can keep going beyond that)

Paper logs will be available upon request. They will be a more limited version as it will only track days you read to your child. Paper logs must be submitted by August 31st before the library closes.

All prize tickets must be entered into a drawing by midnight on August 31st. The system is automatic and we cannot enter them beyond that.
