Kerry Rayl’s art is inspired by both the Kansas prairie and the Colorado Rocky Mountains. A native Kansan, she is drawn to prairie motifs by the changing colors and winds of the landscape.
She started painting in 2013 when she took an art class on a whim, not thinking that she had any artistic skills. Her paintings are typically acrylic on canvas but also may incorporate other media such as, sand, salt, newspaper, and joint compound.
A resident of Hutchinson, her work has been shown in galleries and other venues in both Kansas and Colorado. For additional information about Kerry and her art find her on Facebook at Kerry Rayl Artist.
